The cultural center, which includes exhibition halls, a museum, a congress center, was opened in Baku 2012. The museum building was designed by the famous architect Zaha Hadid. The center itself is named after the third president of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev.
Unique exhibits are displayed on the territory of the center that introduce tourists to the history and culture of Azerbaijan: rock paintings from the Gobustan Nature Reserve, ancient Koranic specimens, folk clothes, musical instruments, mock-ups of historical buildings. A separate exposition is dedicated to the life and work of Heydar Aliyev.
A tour of the center of Heydar Aliyev is a great opportunity to learn more about the Republic of Azerbaijan.
