One of the most famous resorts in Armenia is Dilijan. This is a balneological and mountain-climatic resort, which has the status of a national park.
As far back as the 17th century the French traveler Jean Chardin mentioned the amazing beauty of Dilijan. The mild climate and the presence of mineral springs allowed in the Soviet period to build many sanatoriums and balneological hospitals here, some of them are still functioning.
In Dilijan the ethnographic street was restored and now you can get acquainted with the craft of potters, carpet weavers, wood craftsmen, and also buy their works.
