Batumi seaside resort is located in western Georgia in the Adjara region. It has a humid subtropical climate - mild winters and hot summers. The beaches are mostly pebble. The swimming season begins in late May and lasts until October.
The first mention of Batumi was found among the Greeks in the 4th century BC and archaeologists officially declare that people on its territory appeared already at the end of the 2nd millennium BC. Over a long history, the city has become the residence of representatives of different nationalities and religions. Today Batumi is a multinational city, due to which during the tour you can see architectural buildings of various styles and destinations: Orthodox churches, Muslim mosques, Armenian churches, synagogues.
In 2013 a large-scale restoration of Batumi ended, historical objects were restored and modern ones were built. The main attraction was Batumi Boulevard along the sea. Its construction began in 1881, but the main work fell on it in recent years. And to this day the resort is developing and becoming more beautiful every year.
Among the main attractions that are available during a tour of Batumi is the Tower of the Georgian alphabet, moving sculptures of lovers Nino and Ali, the colorful Old Town and the modern Piazza with many coffee houses and restaurants. It is definitely worth a visit to the famous Batumi Botanical Garden, where over 5 thousand plants from around the world grow on the territory of 113 hectares.
